https://www.pingdom.com , but it’s quite expensive, at least for me.
statuscake works quite good for us.
How would you define "best"?
I want something I can host myself.
Status Cake - External
Munin - Internal
You can try geekping: http://repository.droidzone.in/
I attempted to install geekping, and I would like to use that but their install instructions are unfinished so does not work correctly.
What is going wrong?
It works but it doesn't monitor ports and it doesn't add any data to the pingmon.dat file.
Can you post the log?
I have removed it now so no log file.
Zabbix for self-hosted.
Looks pretty good, Thanks.
I'll install it shortly. Does it allow public monitoring?
I forgot, it's been some time. I know you can create accounts and assign permissions, I believe you can set public profile like that.
Monitoring ports needed to be setup manually as of the last published version of Geekping. I had been working on a new version and now remote monitoring is more streamlined.
Running the script from bash would have indicated what went wrong.
