DNS healthchecks with REST api
Looking for a R53 alternative.
I mostly need a DNS provider that supports health checks, AWS R53 healthchecks are too pricey for my usage case. Most of my VMs are outside of AWS and I only use some of their services. R53 is fine to manage DNS records, but if I need to use healthchecks outside of AWS then it becomes quite expensive quickly.
Is there anything else out there?
- restfull api
- healthchecks
- cheapo

You could try to selfhost with dt (https://github.com/42wim/dt).
There's also VinylDNS but I'm not sure it does health checks: vinyldns.io
Well, most of the dns server have an API, so you just need a software that monitors it and then calls the API to let the DNS records change.
