Yeah — the forum is being attacked (again).

It certainly doesn’t help that LET was moved onto an Apache-powered cPanel server (going to https://lowendtalk.com:2083 yields a cPanel redirect page)...

The network transmission failed at that time, so it was sent twice.

A quick update based on what I’ve been told:

    • Earlier today (~12:30 PM Eastern), someone decided to launch an attack on the new “infrastructure”
    • The DoS (Denial of Service) was caused by ~10-20 Mbit/s of rogue requests

      • The webserver quickly became overloaded by these requests
    • The attack ended around an hour ago

Waaaait 10-20mbit was enough to kill the server??... So what then is the point of cloudflare then if barely any traffic kills it xD. Srsly that sounds like a 7$/yr vps of the finest quality lol

lowendattack jams lowendmachine, nothing wrong here xD

  • LET got drunk on Saturday, and is having a bad hangover Sunday. Should be fine tomorrow.

20mbit in layer 7 is enough to generate thousands of requests on a web server and takes it down.
