I know I should never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by stupidity, but considering all of the shady things they seem to have done, I suspect they're hoping people don't check their statements to walk away with a few bucks.

Vaguely and generally asking people to use common sense under the assumption that this forum post was the once missing element preventing them from applying it to begin with shows a complete lack of common sense.
