SolusVm fixed a years old bug, sign of the apocalypse?

edited July 2019 in General

I can finally use special characters in root passwords when entered via the GUI. Something I have been asking them to fix for years. I think they even tried to tell me it was a feature not a bug at one time.

Not sure if it also fixes it when done via API which is actually a bigger problem because it breaks my automation. I hope it does.

SolusVM got sold to Plesk a year or so ago.

So now, Oakley owns cPanel, Plesk, WHMCS, and SolusVM.

I'm pretty sure that cPanel and SolusVM are signs of the apocalypse.

Thanks to CPanel, we haven't had many summerhosts this year. Damn them.

Indeed, prepare for a price glitch, eh I mean increase.
Now they can justify the price increase by fixing the old shit and "moving" it forward.

I'm betting lunch on a per physical core cost.

It seems to be where most "cloud panels" are going.

They'll make some excuse that the cores per physical server is constantly increasing there's more VM's, and such customers to maintain, on each server.

They won't go $5/month since people will just move away from E5's to E3's or similar processors. It'll be $7 to $10/month per core.
