What to run on first personal dedi
I've finally gotten my first dedi that I can actually use for personal stuff but have found I have no clue on what to run. Right now I'm running the stuff from my old servers which is:
- Nextcloud
- Syncthing
- Plex & Jellyfin
- A few KVMs for testing
I still have about 30 gigs of ram left and I want to eat it up.
btw it's an EX52 from good ol' Hetzner

I have a whole e3 idling away I barely used less than 100 gigs of bandwidth in the last 6 months.
bitcoin mining?
Welcome to LowEndIdlers!
We are an exlcusive club of people with too many servers and enforce an average utilization below 3%.
I'd suggest to get another one asap, just in case...
This pretty much sums up this community
You could run some vanilla game servers just for fun.
Create a 30GB RAM disk.
Benchmark the I/O speed whenever you feel empty.
In fact you can set this up this via FreedomBox (in which case it will look like this), though for advanced use I'd just prefer getting the mentioned apps directly.
also ... proxmox to facilitate a flock of idling VMs
Minecraft with a decent set of plugins will gladly use all your RAM.
