Hey guys,

I'd love to set up a failover setup for my websites and would love to hear, how you would
do something like this.

I have to virtualization capable servers, one located in France and one located in a Collocation close to Dusseldorf in Germany.

My setup at the moment is a simple apache, mysql, php one hosting a few forums and online shops. Regarding the online shops the MySQL thing needs to be master <-> master, which I already set up for testing.

I have a icinga monitoring server which would be able to change the DNS records in case of failure.

How would you synchronize the files ? Thought about unison or drbd ? How stable could such a setup be and how often would I need to rebuild the synchronization by hand?

Thanks in advance
