While you’re at it, remove the ‘PM me for Google legacy’ bullshit from your signature. It’s not allowed by Google and it certainly isn’t allowed here.
Having said that, the idea of charging $300 for a server you ‘paid’ for (ie. got it almost free) sickens me.

Being a dick might include offering a gift or prize and then trying to attach strings after the fact. If they didn't want you to be able to do with it what the winner wanted (sell for money), they needed to be clear up front. No one would have a problem with "no selling" while the contest was still ongoing.
