Preferred DC Locations for serving Chinese users
Hey Guys,
what would be the preferred locations for serving Chinese users in terms of connectivity?
The server used would be primally used for serving (small) files, traffic would be about 30 GB a month.
Two options that come to my mind would be a Los Angeles based DC with CN2 connectivity or a server right next to China, in Hong-Kong. Am I missing an option and what would be the best choice for my setup?

You may need server with CN2 (gia) connection.
Gigsgigscloud or bandwagon host has some good choices in HK(China Direct Route or premium bandwidth).
If your bandwidth is a constant rather than many peaks, then KVMLA or ucloud could be an alternative...
Ps. Aliyun, which may called alibabacloud oversea, also provides VPS with China direct route, but may have some problems with TLS connection sometimes because of GFW... I'm not quite sure...
Edit.
CN2 gia is really fast but is so weak when under attack, if your website may attract DDoS, then do not choose product with round trip cn2gia. In this circumstance, you'd better consider some hosts like CeraNetworks……
We can do HK. China bandwidth is expensive, but 30GB is small, so wont cost much, even if it does cost $100/MBit . 30GB is only 1/10 of a mbit?
