Thanks. I will have a look.
Regarding what you mentioned earlier, to me it looks like sister company or partners yes.
But either way, it's better to mail them than having a chat they might never see.
Sister company or partner, theyre your best bet for developing modules for now since theyre the only people we know that actually develop modules for Wisecp.
Who would you choose them or a coder that hasnt developed a module for Wisecp yet?
Perhaps @alexvolk or @BharatB can create modules also?
You really should try Blesta. It's more mature and more complete documentation. If people ask what's whmcs alternative, people will say Blesta, not WiseCP.
Surprised by the tag (I don't post that much), but I'll chime in:
I sure hope that they have a decent documentation for creating modules. As a small company, we're honestly getting a bit annoyed at how Blesta does things to the point that we were considering switching to WHMCS.
Looks like WiseCP, despite the horrible name, is a promising contender, and if we do use them we'll gladly make modules (we'll probably open source stuff we'll use anyway). I wish they have the code audited though.
This was exactly the question I wanted to ask. May be an independent audit from a reliable security firm can provide better insight into WiseCP for potential buyers. Alternatives to WHMCS and competition is always good for market. I believe this product had a different branding before with WHM in it as far as I remember. There was a similar thread and drama here on LET.
We're about to start an audit of WiseCP along with several other open source / alternative panels, but WiseCP will be the first panel we do in our 2nd round of testing.
The first round included CyberPanel, CentOS Web Panel, APNSCP and VestaCP. I think we're just waiting on CWP and VestaCP to push out patches; CyberPanel and APNSCP should be OK.
Disclaimer:
We did an initial once over. I'm confident any major flaws were found, but there may still be some random obscure flaws lurking within. Unfortunately, it's not realistic for us to take the time to go over every open source / alternative panel with the same detailed process as we would for a paid audit. Those four panels above that were already audited, took over a whole month to do!
