.FEEDBACK - Avoid, its a trap!

eKoeKo Member

Hi, I just went to register a .feedback domain, cuz it was costing 1$ every year and i got 1 for 10 years, for 14.95$... (ICAN Fees, bla bla bla).

Here is the catch: I wanted to point it to cloudflare, for easier managment of DNS records, but here what it says:

It is possible to configure a .FEEDBACK domain name so that it is delegated in the DNS to the provided nameservers; these domains are called "self-service" domains.

Self-service domains are subject to an additional fee.

The additional FEE is 840$/YEAR !!!

So you could understand my shock when i saw 8400$ to be paid lol !!!

Website were i registered the domain: Internet.bs

I asked for a refund, lets see how it goes....

Thanked by 1yekta

Dude..., why would you want to register such a TLD...

People want short TLD because they can't be arsed to type longer.

apart for the very cheap cost, I wanted to use it for a feedback form, not an actual standalone domain.

You can always charge back with a reason of "Buyer's remorse".

Of course, you will lose the domain but I assume you don't want it anymore.

Yeap, I already asked for a refund, lets see how it goes. I don't want to chargeback yet from paypal.

I believe this is how .feedback works (i.e. the nature of their scam), no matter which registrar.

    .feedback tells you this specifically.

Yeah, register has no power in how TLDs operate.
