This lists IP 203.126.224.11 which doesn't ping/trace, but is actually on 118.201.93.71 (which works).
@rm_ thanks i will ask this to be modified

Is your speedtest link only on a 100 mbit/s line ?http://lg.de.ikoula.com/100MB.test
And do your VPS have IPv6?
@Ikoula your smokeping didn't working
http://smokeping.sg.ikoula.com
To save you some time with the traceroutes, they are (single) homed on Cogent in all their locations. So if you have good route to Cogent, it will be decent, if not... good luck.
All of my experiences with this company have always been poor and I can't suggest you spend your hard earned money with them when there are so many better offers on better networks around on LET.
my 2 cents.
Cheers!
This is false. While DE and NL are on Cogent's own AS and IPs, in France both DCs use a mix of upstreams, and Singapore is its own thing entirely (SingNet).
Somehow this time that sounded particularly nauseating.
Hi @Ikoula (Thomas),
you´re advertising Miami with 100 Mbit/s flatrate connection an $3,40 per month. I can´t find a way to deploy that machine. How should I do that?
Thanks, smarty24
If I understand correctly, I would need to add $14 of credit to get $140 extra credit, and the extra credit will all expire after 30 days and cannot be rolled over?
yup - use it or lose it
What could possibly go wrong?
EDIT2:
Ikuola has done similar promo before and they've been in business for a while. So I'm hopeful that they might know what they're doing.
I think they provide good quality for the price as far as their dedi offerings go. I have exercised a few of their dedis over the last two years. Network in France worked fine for me - always a solid 100 mbits for the (various) locations I cared about in Europe and the USA.
Haven't tried their cloud yet, seem to remember "mixed" reviews.
The control panel(s) for billing and server ordering and administration struck me as somewhat byzantine, but (like most other things in this world) more-or-less manageable.
As for this offer - interesting, but I really wish it was closer to a $7 buy-in ... $14 is a bit much to speculate with.
I am intrigued by the idea of idling a $140 cloud for a month though.
Not really an issue of something going wrong, but Digital Ocean offers $100 trial credits that expires in two months, and I don't recall reading that there's a need to make a deposit. Not that the offer is not good, but it pales in comparison because I think a month is kind of short to test stability and uptime.
I don't mind making a deposit for a smaller amount of free trial credit (maybe $50?) that I can continue to use and test after 30 days, say for a period of 3 to 6 months.
Yes
Yes and no
It seems fine for me
A VM can be deployed from https://cloudstack.ikoula.com/client
If you have any trouble do not hesitate in writing support team at [email protected] my collegues will provide guidelines.
That's correct
That's a very interresting point i will discuss this in our weekly meeting.
On a side note keep in mind VMs are manageable from https://extranet.ikoula.com (IKOULA made) and https://cloudstack.ikoula.com/client
There is also a lot of documentation on https://fr-wiki.ikoula.com/fr/Accueil
Sorry @Ikoula - but I don´t get it: your website tells me on https://www.ikoula.com/en/public-cloud that the "Router 100 Mbps" costs "208,692 €ex. VAT / month" for US locations in advanced zone (the only zone where Miami is available at the moment). So in my eyes only 10 Mbit/s is included but not 100 Mbit/s. So what´s the included network speed for Miami advanced zone?
The site loads, but all or most of the actual graphs are empty since November.
Yes.
Site loads.
But graphs are solid white.
EDIT2:
Smoke is also missing.
Yes but technicaly you can ask for 10/100/200/1000, you're right sg and us zones have a different pricing regarding network speed, for those zones you have to pick up 10 mbits speed but keep in mind whatever the zone is we do not charge tranfert data (it is unmetered).
Thanks @rm_ and @eol i'll check that too with network team.
Thanks @Ikoula - but round about 250 Euros per month (!) extra for 100 mbit/s speed has nothing to do with low end ;-) I don´t need unmetered bandwith but 100 mbit/s are nowadays more than standard. Why not charging for bandwith (after e.g. 500 GB or 1 TB) instead of network speed?
Hello @smarty24, i am sorry we can't go back on the price grid, you could deploy a VM in France instead of US ? You'll get 100 mbits network included and your datas will be protected by european laws.
If you have some thoughts regarding latency please run a test on http://lg.ikoula.com/
Hi @Ikoula /Thomas, thanks for the offer, but I have to go with a server in the US. Never mind I will find a solution :-)
50 GB SSD is good, but 5 $/M is more tempting.
where is yes and where is no??
Again thank you for your suggestion, i have shared it with the relevant teams. So far, the offer is designed with the credit to be used within the first 30 days, in order to let customers test a big panel of ressources available on the service on a short period.
https://commande.ikoula.com/?affid=174
lol!
@Ikoula per my previous reply, what do you mean with "yes and no"??
He... It is saying that the speed test link is only on 100mbit/s line and no, the vps do not have ipv6
I like your service
@raindog308 Do you have some freetime?
Panda'd.
hahaha, currently I'm looking at the front page, and the Most recent reply was by @anny
