  • Assuming you're fine with OpenVZ, I can definitely vouch for Inception Hosting - @AnthonySmith and for @VirMach.

Others that you can try (for non-NAT IPv4)
    a) @AlexBarakov from AlphaVPS
    b) @LiteServer
    c) @gestiondbi

Any reason why you can't manage with NAT IPv4 setups?

LiteServer, gestiondbi does not have servers < 10USD/year. NAT servers are to limited in my case. Took AlphaVPS Germany :) nice!

We have one at 11USD approx :)

  • LTniger said: LiteServer, gestiondbi does not have servers < 10USD/year

Fair enough - but I think for @LiteServer you will find a coupon that should bring it down to close to that range - otherwise you'll have to wait for BF/XMAS (maybe Easter?). The only issue with them though is they're pretty much one location (but solid at that!).

Same thing for @gestiondbi unless of course they're both happy to post a Low-eNd-Tiger special deal  for you.

But I'd say that it's well worth it for both of them to stretch ever so slightly above the magic $10 mark.

+1 for liteservers black friday deals - I got a very nice little kvm for 1€/month)

also budgetnode's black friday $7/year kvm has been working out just fine.

And I got a few of virmach's ovz (Seattle, $4.75/year) and kvm (Chicago, $9/year) from their black friday flash sales. Great deals, good service.

You might be noticing a pattern here ...

    EDIT2:

    277 days until black friday.

Budgetnode:: Amsterdam kvm, 512 MB ram, 10 GB disk, 500 GB traffic, 1 core @ 2 Ghz, disk i/o sequential write better than 100 MB/s.

I think you'll have to wait for black friday to see the 60% discount from liteserver.nl

Might get 25% off with "HAPPY2018" coupon though (or check their twitter if any newer discount)

Anyway - at full price it's €7.5 quarterly (so bf deal was 3€/q) https://clients.liteserver.nl/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0

@Ishaq might still do a promotion on LET from time to time (but that $7/y didn't last long on bf if I recall - despite some wailing and gnashing of teeth over the extra $3 setup fee tacked onto the first year price, lol).

@VirMach bf deals are long gone (yet their epic "flash sale" thread is somehow still going strong, driven mainly by momentum and nonsensical shitposting until the next deals drop.) Coupon "LEB30" has worked for me before for a 30% discount on regular pricing.

Also keep an eye on HostHatch - birthday coming up in April might shake some deals loose.

AlphaVPS and InceptionHosting definitely worth checking in the meantime as well. (@AlexBarakov and @AnthonySmith are no strangers to the low-end dealhounds here. Maybe one or the other - preferably both - might offer a sneak preview?)

Easter will be here soon - that's a good time to look for deals - be ready to scoop up any and all of the above.

    EDIT2:

@LTniger - idle VPS is best VPS, but as long as you'll be pinging mostly idle servers then it's all good I suppose.

Do you do more than ping? most NAT providers support HTTP and HTTPS if that what's needed.

You can visit their website www.liteserver.nl, you may sometimes spot some coupon codes there and sometimes they last longer than they pretend. ;)

13.65 €/year for the smallest 256MB box is great considering their service is pretty solid.
