Looking for cheap vps (dedicated cpu) or dedicated server for game server with ddos protection
Hello
I am looking for a cheap dedicated server or a KVM VPS with at least 2 dedicated cores to host a game server.
I need some decent ddos protection. From my past experience, OVH ddos protection worked good. I had some issues with seflow ddos protection with servers in Italian DC.
Kimsufi dedis are fine, the problem is the 10€ setup. Do you know any other good host with decent ddos protection or any trustable ovh reseller for a kvm vps?

Other specs: 4gb ram, 50gb hdd.
My budget is around 10-15€/m.
How is online.net ddos protection compared to ovh one?

Gameserver's from OVH ship with 4 physical cores. If you want 2 cores dedicated to you, you'd need to increase your budget.
Other servers other than i7's work perfectly for gaming also but for 2 dedicated cores you'd need to raise your budget.
OVH cloud will not give you 2 truely dedicated cores nor would the clock speed be the greatest, but it can be sufficient.
I have a server that I am holding onto simply because the HDD's are still new and performing great but it is currently idling.
I can do 2 truely dedicated cores (4 dedicated threads) and while at it, can also dedicate half of the physical server to your uses. The server is in OVH, London, UK.

If you want to host a 4Ghz gameserver, we have i7-6700K in Germany with SSD but the cores are fair share with a max of 25% physical core allocated per vCore, meaning you;d need 8vCores to have 2 full cores which will be 2 large plans stacked (£20+).
We also have i7-7700K @ 4.2Ghz with NVMe SSD in Singapore if location is not an issue.
