We're going to grab their OpenVZ plan and which location would you suggest from these two and why?

Whichever is closer to you.
Frankfurt is 200km closer to me, but if Amsterdam location delivers better speed and less downtime, I would choose that instead.

Thanks. About the same speed from my location, but Frankfurt wins for me.
Edit:
Second test. now Amsterdam wins solid speeds.
Amsterfurt.
EDIT2:
Frankfurt should have better peering.
If 2-3 ms is important to you, run traces from every connection you're planning to connect from. If not, just flip a coin.
I mean I think your not serious why Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The only location you need is Buffalo not amount of latency will stop the pure force of ColoCrossing Buffalo!
Amsterfurt is Out of stock
But Colocrossing New York is always there instead.
I myself am really satisfied with Virmach Frankfurt location. In my opinion the network connectivity with ServerHub is quite good. You can use the Looking Glass (AMS, FRA) to test yourself and chose whatever is better for you.
BTW: I do have a KVM leftover from Black Friday which I do not need anymore - and I do not need more idling VPS. 2 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 30GB SSD, 2 TB traffic, renews at only 26$. If anybody is interested, PM me.
