Servers in Australia
I am looking for a server in Australia which has a 1gbit connection with a bandwidth allowance of 50-75tb (Can look for lower and just limit my usage and reliance on it)
The specs I am looking for are:
- 64gb RAM
- E3
- A small sdd or hard drive (140gb minimum)
- 1gbit
My budget is upto $750USD a month
Comments
Good luck with your budget.
EDIT:
I see you increased the budget from 500.
Also I think maximum memory support of the E3 is limited to 32GB.
Per month or per year?
I'm from Australia and bandwidth is notoriously expensive.
Per month but lower quotes for lower amounts of bandwidth (20tb+) would be acceptable
That's alot of Dollarydoos.
Try contacting RansomIT's sales department. Their dedicated servers don't usually come with that much bandwidth (the most I see on a dedi on their site is 10TB/month) but they may be able to work out a custom plan with you. https://www.ransomit.com.au/dedicated_servers/
Apparently OVH also have servers in Australia... You could try see if they have any good plans.
@LosT You can go with https://www.ransomit.com.au/ ... they have a very good reputation for providing solid services.
@HostDoc ! You have been called.
OP: HostDoc, RansomIT, OVH are your main options.
Thanks but it would seem OP is after a dedi nor do we offer a 1gbps uplink.
@LosT Have you tried OVH? 500mbps uplink but can satisfy all other criteria's.
I have tried OVH already but have had really bad pings to my other servers which adds a intolerable delay which causes my software to throw timeout errors
We can easily accommodate this from a capacity standpoint in our Sydney location, but hardware wouldn't match exactly
E3-1230v2
-32GB
-1x256GB
-30TB on 1gbps Port
$600
Maybe @trewq @Oliver
+1 for https://www.ransomit.com.au/ highly recommended for Australian based servers that don't break the bank relatively speaking.
+1 ransomit @Oliver
Thank you for all the recommendations! @LosT hi and thanks for reaching out! :-)
Hello @LosT , have you tried to contact our support team regarding your ping issue from an OVH server?
We have a dedicated network team, looking at improving our network in the APAC region and based in Australia. Feel free to share your feedback on this thread: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/143996/ovh-asia-pacific-network-latest-latency-optimizations/
Regarding bandwidth, all our Dedicated servers come with a guaranteed bandwidth of 250Mbps or 500Mbps. They are on a 1Gbps or 10Gbps port. They also come with 5TB or 10TB traffic.
If you need more, we offer unlimited bandwidth (up to 500Mbps) at a very competitive price in Australia.
And if you need even more, we can assist you with up to 3Gbps (PM me)
I could recommend you the SP-64-APAC: https://www.ovh.com.au/dedicated-servers/enterprise/1905sp07.xml
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1245v5 - 4c/8t - 3.5GHz /3.9GHz
RAM: 64GB DDR4 2133MHz
DIsks: 2x2TB SATA or a choice of SSD NVMe
with 10 TB traffic included: A$ 144.99 /month ~USD 100
with unlimited traffic @250 Mbps : A$ 434.99 /month ~USD 305
with unlimited traffic @500 Mbps : A$ 724.99 /month ~USD 510
Hope this helps
