VPSBit Free VPS Ending.
I've already made an announcement here some months back, but I'll do so again now any way.
We still have a few hundred free VPS users, many I believe have come to us from LET.
This is just a reminder that VPSBit will be cancelling the free VPS service. For anyone who is familiar with how we do things, we require users claim a 'Carrot SiteCoin' (aka. token/coupon) from us to pay the invoice issued every month. An amount of CRT#50.
As of today, these Carrots are no longer issued. Invoices in January will still be issued, but without these Carrots, real currency will therefore be required, should anyone wish to renew the VPS.
An exchange rate of CRT#20 : US$1 has been set, effectively setting the renewal fee to US$2.50 /month (payable by Paypal/CarrotPay/BTC).
We have been offering the free VPS for over 3 years now. But unfortunately it is time to move on. Users not wanting to renew are advised to make backups before the renewal date in January (specific day different for each user).
The main reason for the cancellation is IP shortage. We may bring back free VPS that are IPv6 + NAT, or possibly pure IPv6. At least this is the plan.
Happy New Year everyone.

Where download CarrotCoin miner? If mine on free VPS can make 50 CRT month?
List CRT on exchange, let us decide the rate.
You have to buy real carrots and convert it now.
1 carrot = 1 CRT? baby carrot ok?
Baby carrot = 0.5CRT
OK how to convert?
Carrots pre-date crypto. They are not minable. Though the company is moving towards crypto, hense CarrotPay processed BTC/BCH/ETH payments.
The Carrots we issued were spendable only on our site. You can get 'universal' carrots, but we cannot make them. We could have issued USD or GBP, but it messes up our accounting if our invoices we marked 'paid' with a dollar amount. By setting the price in CRT#, we can ignore the amount from an accounting perspective. It is free! Giving out $ coupons apparently confuses accountants because they are stupid and don't understand technology.
I have potatoes. Please help?
I wish
Will accept really carrots. Size not important. just must be a whole carrot! So send me 50 carrots in the post, and I'll mark the invoice as paid. Any size will do but a half carrot is a half carrot, regardless of size
This thread got me like wtf?!
carrotvps.com
EZ.
I can see the shadow of a second carrot right next to the result one.
This is just a virtual private carrot while the others are dedicated.
Maybe it's a cucumber.
Maybe not.
So what’s the deal with the carrots? Confused af.
TL:DR
Black suits threatened OP to shut down his illegal carrot business.
Apparently the datacenter is run by bunnies.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAH
And people said that free vps is unsustainable and impossible.
LOL.
Good one.
What do you want to know?
Carrot is just a virtual currency. And a SiteCoin is basically a coupon/voucher. We cannot issue currency, but we CAN issue coupons. With me so far?
Carrots are not traded on any exchange. As such, they can be viewed as having no value. For accounting purposes, we chose carrots because we can ignore all invoices as having $0 value.
So we priced the VPS at 50 Carrots per month. We gave away Carrots SiteCoins (Coupons), so the service is effectively free. The only requirement was that you have to actually go and claim those coupons every month. This meant that unused resources would get free up if someone did not want to renew the VPS.
Make sense?
Depends on your business model.
Does the fact that we are shutting it down now prove this theory or does the fact that we've been doing it for 3 years prove it was sustainable?
It did make sense right away but why choose carrots?
Could have used bananas, kiwis or anything cooler.
wanna pay yearly. but got no change in pocket. Can you do me high five?
Carrots is the name of the virtual currency. I cannot choose the name.
Technically it's not called carrots, they are called Bid Tokens, but Carrots are easier. The service is called CarrotPay... doesn't make sense to shorten it to Kiwi.
It's 50 carrots per month buddy. That's just 1 carrot! 2 if you snatch the 1 from the boy.
No, just no.
Please stop pretending that your carrot is bigger than my 20 centimeter one, by putting it in front of the camera.
