Never rejected as far as I know, I created an account and then never heard anything back after getting the standard sign up/account being reviewed message. Didn’t get to create and order or anything like that.
@visionboard You can add and use any apps available in the Nextcloud appstore. However we do not install them (or extra services which customers require) or maintain them.
@Nekki Hmm...I am not sure what happened then in your situation. I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but did you check to see if you had access to Hetzner Accounts/Cloud Console? (I'm assuming you did.) I'm also assuming that you weren't asked for an additional ID. (Sometimes people miss these messages. But I am guessing that you wouldn't have.) If you like, you could send me a PM with the email address/customer number that you used to try to start the account, and I can ask my colleagues about it. Maybe it was tagged as potentially fake, but maybe there's another explanation.
In forums, I sometimes have a hard time telling if people are just goofing around or not, and I know many LETers have a dirty sense of humor, so I am not sure if people are serious or joking about the porn storage, but if that is actually your intended purpose, then it would violate point 6.2 of our ToS: https://www.hetzner.com/rechtliches/agb --Katie, Marketing

"The placement of erotic, pornographic, extremist material or material not deemed in good taste is not permitted" is that open to quite a bit of interpretation, who exactly decides if its not good taste.
As far as I know, I could not login or access anything at Hetzner. I can't remember the message but my recollection was that it clearly stated that the account was under review.
As far as I'm aware, I was not, and I did actively check for around 2 weeks.
I appreciate the suggestion (and you taking the time to reply), but I'm currently not interested in any of Hetzner's offerings so I'll leave things as they are and bear your suggestion in mind if that changes.
