OVH HG Server Setup Time?

OVH HG Server Setup Time?

Anyone happen to know what the normal setup time is for an OVH HG server? I ordered one back on the 12th of December and it's still stuck "In Progress" on the "Dedicated server installation fees" step of the setup process.

The servers I'm replacing with the HG are expiring on the 28th of December and I'm concerned I'm not going to have enough time to migrate the data over. As usual, support wasn't able to help other than saying they'd update my ticket when they had more information.

Any insight someone might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

    That seems to be a very long time damn.

    Delivery time is displayed there, depending on your configuration. If thats SOON well then, no idea but it has been enough time already IMO. We have a few OVH reps here. Dont recall their nicknames. Can someone tag them?

    Did you try calling them? Try updating the ticket as well. Something seems to be wrong.

    Is it in Canada location? In Canada, whole December is considered holidays.

    Awesome, so that means the billing department wont be working either? Maybe they wont charge me for my other servers then... :smile:

    Billing is automated, sorry dude.

    P.S. I am serious about my mailman. Canadapost conveniently went on a 5 week strike starting early November and, even when they resumed working, due to December holidays, they are half asleep.

    I moved everything to e-billing.

    Hard to tell, but I sure hope so. I’m sure I’ll be calling again later today after they miss the 10 day mark.

    The vicious circle.

    1. Spend more than you are able in December.
    2. Be happy until January. Gets the credit card bills.
    3. Eyes poop out, literally. Face becomes pale, Hands begin to shake.
    4. Starvation mode for next 3 months after returning what you can.

  • Got an update from them finally:

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

    We got an update in regards of your order.

    And as of now we do not have the stock of the 12Tb disks in our BHS Datacenter.

    We do apologize as this is taking long to be delivered.

    We also ask for possible ETA from our Supply team and we awaiting for their feedback for it.

    We thank you for your understanding and continued patience.

    Still no ETA but at least I know what the hold up is. Should be interesting to see how long this is going to take. Only 12 days before we hit a month from the original order date.
