Looking for yearly VPS!
Hi, I am searching for a Cheap Yearly VPS, which can run a basic PHP Forum/Site including 2 Databases, and a basic Development Gameserver which hardly uses up any space. The OS I am looking for is Ubuntu. It'll be in development for some time, so the VPS will pretty much only be used for Basic Development, actively being used.
Softwares I will use:
Nginx
ProFTPD
Gameserver (running on screen, very little power consumption)
MySQL Server (2 Databases minimal)
Minimum Specs:
RAM: 3 GB
Disk: 80 GB SSD
CPU: 3 Cores (1.92 GHz Minimum)
Bandwidth: 1 TB @ 100 MB/ps
Location: Somewhere in EU
DDOS Protected if possible.

did not find yearly price but maybe u can work something out with michael.
I would be very careful for not paying yearly with those specs. Maybe try monthly or quarterly and see how it goes.
I agree with @creep - Try monthly with a provider for a few months, then only pay for a yearly plan if they work well for you.
Would suggest using SFTP rather than FTP if possible. SFTP just uses SSH, so you don't need to install any additional software on the server.
What are your thoughts on Contabo? Would they suit my needs/requirements?

If there's anything better, I don't mind getting it. At the moment I've found a lot of decent prices for not-bad specifications. I don't mind paying monthly but I thought to get it out the way for the first year to pay off the amount instead because I don't want to not be able to pay it the month after or whatnot. But if there's a decent monthly price I don't mind going for it.
There are a few contabo review threads here that u can refer to.
I've hosted with them for a month without any issues, I've heard a lot of negative feedback but I'm not sure if it's just me missing out on the important parts, no issues at all. If there is anything decent out there, please let me know, still searching!

London is fine, I don't really have a budget at the moment.

no one is perfect -- i never used them so i can't give a better reply than.... try them - come back again after 3 months and write a review...
Do you have any suggestions? I've switched to looking for a monthly plan.
