Joodle Monitor Preview
Hey
I have been working for some time on my new script, and i got it online on a nice VPS right now
It's in a nice and simple template
http://173.208.240.138/joodle/index.php
Tell me what i need to improve
And what i need to add to the script
Comments
graphs
thats one of the things i didnt want in this script
it needs to be a lightweight script
add the vnstat output inside
<span>
tags. How would i put the span, seems like it doesn't work for some reason
Show me your code.
add me on Gtalk: joodlefun at gmail dot com
Nothing happens for me when clicking "Processes".
I'm on Chrome 17.0.963.46 m
Processes part is still under construction
LOL when I opened the link I thought it was a parked domain xD
I like it, but yes, your vnstat is broken, maybe you can format the output in other way
Yeah it's fixed now with the help of @OneTwo
Updated script
Take a look, and if there is something missing tell me
I like it. Only issue I noticed is that it seems like every system command in a span tag has the last line repeated.
Yeah, that's a problem
seems like i can't fix that
maybe someone here knows how to fix that
Im not really sure why you would want a status script to display what you have running...
If your running a server, it makes it easier for cough Hackers cough to find out if you have any services running that could have vulnerabilities.
I have also been thinking about that
You can run this script in a password protected directory
You can run this script in a password protected directory
This.
Looks a bit like the one I edited.. Found it via LEB: http://vps6.sparklingclouds.nl/status.html
But, what is your purpose of this script? Monitoring? You could also do it via SSH. It gives a lot of insight in your server and the software you are running?.
i wanted to experiment with php
its a monitor script
Yes if you are not lazy to do all these commands ¬_¬
@Yomero The PHP script probably does a system('free -m') or exec('vnstat');. So in a way it also does the commands :P
@Joodle Good luck with it. I myself also have been looking for a script like this but was not able to find one that I liked, so I created one myself. (Bash however, not php). Working small projects like this are very good ways to get better/learn a programming language.
Pfff ¬¬ Obviously the script does it. But I don't want to do all these commands, I want to visit an URL or apply just one command and get a summary ¬¬
@yomero I know, it was not ment so serious. I also don't do that, I've got openstatus running also. And pingdom...
@Joodle what features or ideas are you planning to add?
@Raymii
That's a secret
I don't want anyone to "steal" my ideas, u will see all the features when it is released
When will the source code be released?
Within a few days
Meanwhile, you can check servphp , has good things too
where's the site from the script?
will come online soon
im in the last year of school.(2 weeks left) after that i will make a site
