Is their shared hosting any good? I've only ever used them for domains, and those I have been switching to porkbun when they come up for renew.

It's actually pretty decent (good uptime). A little too expensive after the one-year non-recurable coupon price ends (and they don't enable Let's Encrypt in their cPanel because it conflicts with their SSL cert selling business). Excellent 1-year backup for a customer website.

    bench.sh shows:

    Processor : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v2 @ 2.10GHz
    CPU Cores : 6
    Frequency : 349.987 MHz
    Memory : 4608 MB
    Swap : 0 MB

I ran a 100% cpu load on it for the 5 min max and /proc/cpuinfo never changed from:

    model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v2 @ 2.10GHz
    stepping : 4
    microcode : 1046
    cpu MHz : 349.987

I have a smaller OpenVZ deal and running those likewise gave me results that seemed as if frequency = processor frequency / CPU cores

Maybe just an issue with a setting somewhere?

I bit on the last one (55GB SSD), but didn't notice that it only have 1 core. Oh, well. It should still be a good idler.

    VirMach -- Premium Idle Hosting.

FrankZ said: I got 6 cores @ 349mhz ? LET Help desk request.
Will someone who purchased openVZ please let me know if this is normal.

Technically as @user123 mentioned we didn't specify the clock rate, but this is not intended and we'll fix these as soon as possible, probably after everything else. I'm just surprised no one reported this one yet.

Was everyone just okay with receiving tiny cores? If so 856 core plan coming up @ 50MHz.

Too busy grabbing deals. I bet 99% of VPS deals bought haven't been logged into and secured properly. @FrankZ was a special case.

Really like the new voice announcing feature @ddhhz (it does seem to screw up and announce
    0 for 128MB VPSs though).
