    Dear VirMach Customers,

We are beginning to migrate customer services from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Initially, we were waiting for more space in Frankfurt, but unfortunately this cannot wait any longer. We hope to improve the quality of service with this migration, as we believe the new datacenter can accomodate us better with networking and hardware issues.

What to expect:

Your service will move to Equinix Amsterdam
You can get a free migration back to Frankfurt in the future if available
Your service's IP address will change and we'll try to inform you ahead of time
There wil be a few hours of downtime for migration
Data will be moved, but please keep a backup
You will need to make any rDNS requests again
Migration date & time:

 

GERKVM4: May 13th, 2020 @ 10AM to 8PM PST
GERKVM3: May 14th, 2020 @ 10AM to 8PM PST

    Guys, I have a friend that needs new forum/bulletin board software for our local community board (the old one got hacked). I think keeping it up to date and easy to operate is key, so... Can you recommend one that either has an official (debian/ubuntu) repo package, or an official docker image? Even better if it is nosql or sqlite, so he doesn't need to maintain an rdbms.

    1 year ago I was hanging out with @uptime :grin:

    It was a fun experience and he took me to a lot of places just by walking! Hope that we will meet again in the future, and potentially with some of the cool guys here as well :)
