DHCP - Assign (IPv6) Subnets to clients
Hi,
For a simpler address handling, I consider configuring a DHCP server on my Proxmox host, which assigns an IPv4 and an IPv6 address to each client.
Now the idea came to me to order a /56 IPv6 subnet from Hetzner and to assign each client its own /64 via DHCP.
Is my plan possible that way? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything on the internet regarding subnet assignment via DHCP.
Greetings

No idea.
Probably Prefix Delegation goes into the direction you are looking for.
You could also assign a L2 network (vlan, bridge interface, etc.) to each client and run SLAAC on it.
The first one would be more scalable, the last one should be more user-friendly.
