Load balancing (geographically) for VPSs

Hi,

I currently have my web app deployed on a single VPS in LA. It's been working well enough, although after looking at stats over the last month, a couple of things became apparent:

  • I'm approaching my bandwidth limit (2.6Tb used this month)
  • I have a lot of users outside North America (European mostly)

I added CloudFlare CDN for all the static assets and stuff, but most of my bandwidth is from REST (dynamic) so I'm not gaining much from that.

I think I need to implement some sort of load balancing to both serve European users better (faster load times), and to distribute the bandwidth usage (fail-over is also a nice benefit).

Is there an affordable (LowEnd 🙂) solution for load balancing? Perhaps a VPS provider that offers multiple locations with some other affordances (easier to transfer data between their VPSs in different regions, discounts for multiple services, etc.)

Thank you! 🖖
