    OMG you another one idiot..

  • fitvpn said: Try Russian hosting,100Mbps and unmetered..guess represented in two continents :) Faster and less ping than from Western Europe.

Depending on ISP routes to China are "ok" from Russia - 95% of the other countries in asia are useless as the route will go via EU (or even worse, US).

Problem behind that is that Chinese ISPs do not sell transport from CN to RU, so RU is useless for countries like South Korea, PH or Indonesia.

I do not tell Russia very best connection for Asia.

But much more affordable than Western Europe

Guess those who open this treat talking about a whole continent

  • it's far from "best" as OP requested as well - It is pretty much only good to China, and even then congested like any other CN upstream. Ping/Latency is a bit lower than LAX though.

  • @William can you recommend which one suit my needs?

I saw Host Virtual on Hetzner , good?

Rostelecom has good connectivity to China and India.

  • Yes, from 1000-1700 Indian/Chinese time - Then it is as congested as any link to China until around 2100. 0700-1000 the same.

Again, as i explained multiple times before, NO LINK besides their HK "Direct China" links (at 40$+/Mbit) has enough capacity to fill the need at peak times.

    Thanked by 1vimalware
  • Tried simple tests few months ago from Moscow DC got 25Mbps to HK and 45Mbps to Mumbai India, guess its not a bad. Ping around 160Ms to both locations, probably less ping impossible depending distance

Nah not only that; Japan can be very nice assuming you're on the right upstream mix in Russia (or actually lack thereof, best chances are on single-homed Rostelecom...)

Can't post nice traces to HK at the moment, some cable between Tokyo and Hong Kong seems to be down as multiple providers switched to not using it, e.g. SoftLayer goes JP->SG->HK, etc.

    Thanked by 1vimalware
  • rm_ said: some cable between Tokyo and Hong Kong seems to be down as multiple providers switched to not using

Cost reasons. LAX<->HK is much cheaper than EU<->HK.

  • Asia is all about balancing. You need to decide where the priority traffic is coming from and work back from there.

  • time4vps at lithuania seems fast to me (SE Asia).

So, most likely, transit from Europe is going to go through the United States, instead of through mainland Europe/Asia.

If Telia or Tata or Tinet, it may not route USA.

From my observations, Rostelecom (RU) has great connectivity to China Unicom - basically no congestion at all. China Telecom really depends on which time and to which area. There seems to be higher packet loss for broadband customers when compared to leased lines.

Rostelecom's cable could be via Vladivostok to Beijing.

PCCW via Rostelecom's Hong Kong PoP is quite reliable also. Just 135-140ms from Novosibirsk. Similar latency to Tokyo via NTT also (150ms).
