Anyone got one they could part with?

Blimey, good luck finding one of those.
Does it need to be an actual CGA monitor? You could always use an old CRT with a SCART connector.
I made one of these far longer ago than I can remember:
https://www.electroschematics.com/377/cga-scart-adapter/
I will give that a try, just bought a mint condition Amstrad PPC640 so wanted to test it with a CGA monitor as well as the silly built in screen.
That’s awesome and an Amstrad backpack to store it all in as well.
Yeah, get an external display.
I remember those built in ones. Any kind of movement on the display just resulted in a greyscale mess for a few seconds until things calmed down again. Even LSL wasn't playable.
Amazing! That was my 3rd computer - and first thing I used to get online. 2400 baud is actually to fast for the built in screen I seem to recall you can run it off a bunch of C batteries?
Might be easier to scrounge a so-called multisync monitor. I think those did CGA. Better check though.
It's better to get something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CGA-to-VGA-pinout-adapter-10-pin-Arcade-to-Male-HD-15-MikesArcade/172133906902 . Convert the cga signal to standard vga. Cheap and easy
Yeah I thought that but in doing my research I found this incredible
beardvideo: guy seems to have had to make a right mess just to get a bad color/colour pallet.Yeah i found that last night, I have thrown so many away... it hurts.
Yep you can (not that I would these days haha) also known as D cells in the USA I believe.
