.Page new gTLD released by Google on 27th. Would you consider it?

Google just launched .Page new TLD on 27th.
On its website, Google says “.page is for anyone who wants to create a new website online, including entrepreneurs, publishers, developers, businesses, and students.”

We've already .site, .website, .online, and now .page

I wonder how can someone build a entire site/forum on .page instead of .site or .website?
.Page can be use at the most for a single page/landing page, like welcome.page, or info.page,
etc.

Is just for ICANN to get more money because the start of .com not was premium domain listed as they not think about it. But nowadays the ABC is fully rethinked by ICANN and want get more money on premium domains default (3-6char) and others too.

Well it's not like that will be the first, there's already .accountant AND .accountants. Oh, also .career and .careers. Got lazy checking further, see the complete insanity for yourself: https://www.gandi.net/en/tlds

them releasing the domain shouldnt say anything about running it seriously, they do own the ".meme" domain too..
and honestly looking at their track record of releasing and gutting other stuff, then re-releasing the same stuff with new ui, but i guess google might be big enough for that stuff to kinda happen and not affect other parts? idk

You mean you want Neon to open a LET thread again and register a new domain ?

  • Why not to release a .google TLD like OVH does .ovh? :)

.page really is a shit TLD.

    How about incer*.page?

  • Of course the new domains are just for icann to make more money. They are pretty useless unless the name is exactly what you wanted your URL to end with, but even then it's kinda meh.

Someone mentioned .app, but that's only useful if you make it useful. For instance, nordvpn registered nord.app but you're never going to use or remember that just to download the app once. vpn.app could have been useful, but only one single VPN provider can benefit from that.

  • ram.page please.

  • Any idea when they start selling it actually?

There is a .google tld. They actually use it but it's not open for 3rd party registrations.

  • if they release gtld of .ipv6 , i will be the first to register colocrossing.ipv6

.PAGE requires HTTPS access to resolve. So SSL is a must for .PAGE. First Google forced it in Chrome and now making sure it's a part of their gTLD as well.
