low memory vps status monitor?

Hi guys, i would like to ask the community if there is any low resource vps uptime monitor tool that is capable of displaying the uptime to my blog? I just need it to be simple like green button next to the server means up, and red means down?

Can just set a cron or a include in your php?

You can modify the outputs by a simple explode() to your liking.
why not take an external service like uptimerobot.com?
