I decided to stop using their service after trying their 1EUR vps for 2 days. Then I moved to another provider, that's it. It's not worth complaining about the quality of the very cheap services, all the things you will get are just bad responses (especially in LET, when you are lazy to read the terms and conditions of the provider you are complaining about).

Just sit, and come back after a lot of people give a good review about Aruba's services improvement.

Got several VPS at aruba and have to say this is one of the best service I know. U got KVM, more than fair RAM, fast CPU and I/O and as Shot2 says in over 1 year not even a reboot. I have firewall, cronjobs and can set system time, even running an IRC server w/o problems.

    10/10 Points for me.

it should be a bench report here. :)

for sure their control panel might not be as simple and plain as solusvm and the likes, but on the other hand it offers a lot more options and access to different products in different DCs at the same time.

if you call yourself able to administer an unmanaged VPS, one surely can expect from you to work with a not so perfect control panel anyways ;-)

they also might have other drawbacks like questionable practises in their history and abuse-handling, though my IPs are good and not on any major blacklist etc.
but hey. it's ONE euro a month, who else does 1C/1G fullvirt at this price? ;-)

I have been using Aruba Cloud (1EUR / month) for around 6 months now. Like OP said - Control Panel is horrible. Ubuntu 18.04 images are not available. Other than that, the service has been pretty good with 0 downtime. You won't get any deal like this - 1EUR/month anywhere else. It is a loss-leader for them.

    >

Although 18.04 images may not be available do-release-upgrade can easily fix this in under 10 minutes.

I've been using aruba for 6 months now and for the price they're quite good. I didn't really need their support so can't talk about that.

Or just do a clean install from the iso (grub-imageboot is your friend).

  • Well I have been sitting on the a couple of DE instances for very long time. They are good are the best VM's I got in my inventory their panel is built for cloud and yes its a mess but it provides a lot of features for what i pay.

I never had a downtime with a any of the machines.

  • I have been VERY happy with aruba. Seriously, for that price and uptime - how can one go wrong?

OP is sulking in a corner now.

He makes a decent half-point with the web interface, although I only used once when I created the VM and did the reverse DNS. After that, once a month to add credits.

    Another +1 for aruba.

  • Great VPS - shitty panel! Have used them since 8/9/2016

Expecting everything to be perfect at 1 buck.

    Only at LET.

Well I'm not looking for something perfect, I would have been happy if it even slightly worked.

  • Mods can we move this into off topic and rename the thread.

Obviously nobody would say it out loud. That'd be utterly stupid.

    People are implying though.

From the look of it, it's just you who can't get it work.

Aruba has managed to invoice me twice (in Italian only) for services that were for two different customers. This is in the space of a couple of months. I'll leave you to decide the competence of their billing 'system' and contemplate the privacy aspects.
Needless to say, I have cancelled my Cloud services, even though they were pretty good and I'm allowing my domains to expire, if I don't transfer elsewhere.
    YMMV, obviously.

    You've missed the point entirely.

The less people pay, the more noise they make. It's a strange thing.

In another thread, people are losing hundreds and they seem pretty calm over it. And here a dumbass loses a buck (which was his fault) and he makes more noise than all of them combined.

Indeed. I wonder what noise would be if Aruba VPS would cost just 1 cent normally, and 0 cents on Black Friday. What reviews would it get?!

  • I've been with them for a while now. I only use the panel to add funds once in a while.

Up until now they delivered what was promised for this plan

  • saibalsaibal Member

Some might ask to be paid to use Aruba's products.

Sometimes it takes long time to be deployed, but yes, it really deployed if you wait for some more time. Mine once takes some hours, just wait.
