  • The aff rate is too high

  • Could you do a $12/yr plan for LET for a limited # of orders, instead of the 50% affiliate commissions? (read it as me being cheeky)

You don't necessarily have to brand it as 'competitor-refugee' offer, but I'm sure people would like options today.

Seems like its non-recurring aff money, so anyone using the aff program would get 1 usd (50% of 2 usd/month) in return, meaning that if you were your own aff, you'd pay 23 usd/year for the first year, and 24 usd/year afterwards. Not worth it imo.

if you were your own aff,

I wasn't suggesting that, but rather an LET special that wasn't eligible for affiliate commission on that particular sale.

(no idea if Whmcs or other systems supports disabling aff for particular inventory)

  • 50% discount after added 50% before?

  • I was paying $10 for the Basic 20G plan... Then they changed prices, new price $48... So maybe in the future the 10GB for $24 should be like $62

Did you receive a fresh invoice for $48?

Well, that's one way to reward early adopters. /s

I can understand vps providers passing on ipv4 price changes to end-users, but it feels icky when an email provider can't seem to grandfather in pricing for early adopters.

Am I missing something like the presence of dedicated IPs on these old 20GB plans?

  • I actually dont have any complain about the service, because is great... But that prices changes is deal breaker for me... The plan should say the price is not recurring

I also did not like when the price was increase because when I bought it said "recurring". Anyway I don't remember to have any issue with Mailcheap services. I really don't remember a downtime or maintenance. So for the quality price is more than fair.

Pavin seems to be contantly improving the services offered. I also use other providers like MXroute for example, but I prefer Mailcheap. It's much more reliable and it as activesync.

    This stinks, Pavin.

  • I wonder if his mail channel prices increased from that jarland/mike drama.

If this is actually the case that's pretty horrific and atrocious behaviour

Renewal increases for inflation or increased vendor costs can be reasonable if no long term contract, but 100% to 380% increase in a single billing period is seriously shitty
