  • Hi! What do you mean by the promo offers being semi-managed, i.e. what's included in the (semi) management option?

Semi-managed generally refers to when a host will perform basic tasks for free (assuming you allow them to) on your server. They’ll probably install a few applications for you, check if your server is sluggish, configure the DNS on your server, etc.

Having said that, semi-managed services are NOT managed services. CloudCone won’t keep an eye on your server 24/7, keep everything up-to-date, etc.

Just keep in mind that they’ll only perform basic tasks for you (within reason) :)

Yup, that's why I asked because different providers have different terms on the scope of their managed/semi-managed services; I was hoping CloudCone can spell out the specifics of this feature :-)

They had a support policy page IIRC. Everything's mentioned there.

@jetchirag is right -- it's mentioned in their support policy :)

I checked its HDD if someone already ran benchmarks please post some results (not expecting top-notch performance in this range). Maybe get some VMs later as this seems good work.

What are you using it for?

VPN only meanwhile, testing uptime and network. Will be a web server in a couple of months.

    Hey,

I have got the flash4 after 7 hours of very stable IPSec VPN, I can say its really awesome :3 loved your offer but I am interested to know what kind of ddos protection do you offer for that $2 IP since i can see that you peer with Voxility and NTT.

    Thank you!
