Vultr $2.50 Plans (512MB) Restocked, IPv6 Only

Vultr seems to have made available new stocks of their $2.50 "sandbox" plan that comes with 512 MB. It's available in ALL locations (at least on my side) and comes out of the box with IPv6 only. However, one can attach a reserved IPv4 address after server deployment.
Deploy away!

Should be noted that adding an IPv4 will cost $3/month extra, defeating the purpose of using the "cheap" plan.
And it has been changed to IPv6-only in Miami and NJ as well, where it was available for the same $2.50/mo including IPv4 all along until now.
In any case, can't help but commend them for promoting IPv6 adoption with this.
Yes. a reserved IPv4
I have ordered one.
Thanks.
Oh, LET folks can work/hack away with IPv6 :-)
But yeah, if you want IPv4, might as well get the $5 plan—it got higher specs and cheaper too!
Did see this earlier, I guess now that's it's mostly IPv6 there isn't a hard limit?
They did that I guess, to cut the costs, apparently they do a loss with that price + v4.
But 2.50$ KVM with v6 only, is in terms of LET expensive, so yea.
Does it come with outbound ipv4 access? Like nat64 or private ipv4?
I guess I will play around with it for a bit :P
You know.. it's "the future" ^^
So, can anyone check? From the screenshot above it does come with an IPv4 out of the new CGNAT range, so technically it can.
This is genius.
Sadly no :-D
oops that will be PITA for updates and general usablity
I thought so.
Anyone know if the private networking works on these plans?
I tested it,the main route to 100.64.0.1 can not access internet, and i found solution. https://www.lijingquan.net/archives/4802
but the main nat gateway can not access internet.
But your solution still assumes you purchase the IPv4 addon. What is the point of doing that, paying $2.5+$3, when you can just get the $5 plan, which includes IPv4 as standard?
For those who wonder, the Carrier-Grade-NAT IPv4 that is assigned to the network interface is not meant for outgoing traffic, there's no translation mechanism in place from the CGNAT IP to a WAN IP on Vultr's side. The CGNAT IP is used when establishing a v4 BGP session with Choopa - that way you can utilize your own IPs at their cheap(er) boxes :-). You may also be able to use the CGNAT as a private network, but I am not sure to what extent that works and whether it's actually useful as they have a dedicated private networking feature.
This is the perfect time to say "goodbye vultr"..
...because you don't like one offer?!?
because i dont have ipv6 =(
Say goodbye to your ISP instead in that case :-).
The flog just wanted to spruik his aff links in a Vultr thread
time to say good bye to 99% ISP in Indonesia
and...
Maybe...
But not all of people.

not entirely wrong, not entirely true. I know many let members hate this, but look, there are a lot of people doing worse things with their signature. after all I did not force you to use my reffer link, I just put it in my signature. you can ask the administrator to issue a new rule on this matter.
If you at least have a real IPv4 (and not ISP NAT), you can get IPv6 from tunnelbroker.net.
Good. Go with the underdog that has it - enough people do that, it will give the economical incentive for the others to implement.
Same as with banks and Apple Pay in the early days in the UK ;-).
Lol.. no ipv6 support yet.. still wait until 2030
No support in Peru. I should say goodbye to my country
Not sure if there would be much choice for me. Afaik the ISPs around here that have v6 also NAT v4 so it's kinda like a choice between pest and cholera. If i cared for v6 i'd probably just setup a VPN to tunnel it and be done.
@Clouvider when a person lives in a third world country, there is no IPV6. Is a sad world when we see through the filters.
I know, naturally if you can’t, you can’t. But when you can, there’s no reason to not include this in the decision making process.
For example, when I move, I tend to choose a provider who can provide me with a /29 v4 + native v6, at least a /64 routed, even if it costs a little bit more or has a less flexible contract,
