if you have the ram, take sogo and not roundcube.
    i like it more.

but thats also not what the op was asking for.

@Tajbyte: have a look at mailcow, it cannot get much easier.

Use windows server only when having to host some .net app that is not crossplatform. Linux is the wae.

  • Mailcow is fun and easy: https://www.mailcow.email

  • The best solution is to go for Linux as it's more stable and secure. When it comes to the mail server, Postfix is the best. For GUI mail access you can use Roundcube as it has a good appearance. If you want more Outlook-like functions, I suggest you go for Horde.

Never heard of sogo before, how much ram would you recommend?

  • you can install cPanel will integrate Mail Server with GUI good

  • I am using hmailserver + afterlogic webmail pro on windows and I love it. They are very easy to install and setup. You will have your mail server up in less than 5 mintues.

  • Does iRedMail still exist?

I still remember the good old days of The Burning Crusade, that was hard fun.

Sorry for contributing to topic derailing. To stay on topic: I recommend Mailcow (standard version for Linux, not the Docker thingy).

use zimbra ose(open source edition). It is easy to install & configure & maintain and has the gui the op is looking for.
We use it for multiple domains and it runs fine of course if you have the ram for it though. since we have all features enabled(anti spam, antivirus, etc)

  • Microsoft Exchange.

    Seriously, do it. It's fun.
