    1. Ramnode - restored my confidence in OpenVZ VPSes. I was shying away from using OpenVZ for the longest time (was always looking for KVM) because of downtimes I had with multiple providers in the past. The OpenVZ SSD VPS (1GB RAM) I have with Ramnode has excellent uptime and fast.

    2. BuyVM - I have a 128MB OpenVZ that I use for backups and whatnot. Excellent network and no downtime that I know of.

    3. DigitalOcean - They're like linode, only way cheaper.

    @jcaleb: suggest you make it Top 10 instead of Top 3 in future polls... frankly, had a hard time deciding which three are Top 3 of the eight I listed ;)

    I like the top 3 otherwise it becomes a BIG job for @jcaleb but printing the top 10 results might be nice.

    Sure, this is what I meant. But people need to know they can list up to 10 providers (if they want). The way this poll is set up, the votes are very subjective (i.e. depend on each voter's particular needs/priorities). Hence, letting people know then can vote for up to 10 providers and showing the top 10 results would offer a much more useful overview for anyone shopping for another VPS, I think...

    I think 10 is too much, but maybe give half a point for every honourable mention would be a good idea, or a top 5.

    1. INIZ - I have their 4GB plan has awesome performance and very stable till now.
    2. BlueVM - I have their reseller, OVZ & KVM plans till now they are very stable and have good support ticket response.
    3. Degital Ocean - I used their services with $10 credit coupon and were good and stable, support also was fantastic.

    Special mentions from my experience with services I used in past.

    1. backupsy < niche market, no direct competitors with as good service
    2. Fusioned.net < Reliable KVMs with great add ons :)
    3. Iwstack < great prices for what I define a real cloud (SAN/HA etc.)
