Yes they are fine. Or if you want something really cheap (no dedicated ipv4), try lowendspirit.com and similar (annual only but like $3-4 a year).

Virmach is capable of doing something casual. I put some static pages and a nginx reverse proxy to wikipedia, and they run pretty smooth.

Think of anything you can buy for the same price. Virmach is as good as that.

Indeed they don't offer UK VPSs, but they offer Amsterdam and Frankfurt if you are looking for a European based VPS.

For US, besides virmach, you can check out impactvps.com as well.
