if you refer sub domain for main domain for shared hosting package are not allowed. but if you refer sub domain not as main domain of shared hosting package are allowed.
I think we are on the same page. But just be clear, I would be using this as a development server.
So one primary domain (mysite.com) and then using subdomains to initially build different Wordpress client sites (doctor.mysite.com, florist.mysite.com, mechanic.mysite.com, etc.).

That's allowed, you might want to choose package with same count on addons domain as your development need.
Thanks for the fast reply. I use subdomains just for convenience, so I don't have to mess with DNS. The sites would be built here, cloned and then hosted elsewhere.
