    I bet your pinging (mtring) from province other than Java (or at least, outside Jakarta). So it'll took a while for Telkom to reach Java - c.f. Jakarta as its backbone for International Transit, and that'll true 23ms is the best bet.

    Surprised to learn that outbound v4 from SGP to HE.net goes through their SJC PoP. Already sent traceroute to the mailing list, but they responded with "this is the best that we can do at the moment for this provider" :(

    @OVH_APAC What's going on with latency to AS9498 (Bharti Airtel)? Latency jumped from ~60ms to ~180ms since last week.

    @jazz1611: This is the best route we can offer from SG to this US location. For information, we also offer services in datacenters closer to you (such as Canada and also US).

    Hello,

    Just wanted to let everyone know we made some improvements in the region.

    Today we improved the latency to 'JP TOYOHASHI CABLE NETWORK INC'. From 180ms to 80ms :).

    And an issue was resolved getting 'CN Hong Kong Broadband Network Ltd' back down to 40ms.

    It feels like we have been tricked, you used LET to collect feedback on network traceroutes, improved your service -- and then thrown LET away. When we want to share a part of these improvements by getting a VPS, we no longer can.

    Ping to my OVH server in Singapore

    @OVH_APAC I have opened a support ticket with OVH regarding getting additional IPs but they say that the server is located in Canada. Not sure what is going on. The ticket is pending from 2 days.

    Hello @rm, we are working on on our future offering in Singapore. The singapore sold out was a bit sooner than expected but we will keep the LET community informed as soon as we have stock again. For information, we still have stock on these VPS in our Sydney Datacenter (same price), which is also part of our APAC network.

    Well that is a improvement. Good job @OVH_APAC its nice to see you guys are responding to the community. If you guys keep this up in both EUROPE and APAC. You will have far better network than anyone possibly can. Direct feedback from users of ISP's will make you guys one day be the best. At your size and price I'm waiting to see what will happen.

    Hello, we are on it..! (-: We will bring more dedicated servers and will also extend by opening Public Cloud in both our APAC datacenters (Singapore and Sydney).
    This will take a few months from now but in the mean time, contact me in PM if you require a Dedicated Server hosted in Singapore.

    Seriously guys, it is known as discovery offer for a reason. It is offered mainly to fill up nodes as quickly as possible. It is also stated that it is while stock last. Stop pushing OVH to release more VPS at the moment.

    I personally have bought 1 that I don't even use it for anything other than let it idle just to keep the VPS at that pricing.

    I eventually need it, just don't have any projects that will make use of it just yet. I believe it is same in every case and for most of us.

    Will you buy a KVM VPS for $5/year? Will you buy a Atom Dedi for $4/m? Will you buy a .COM domain name for $1/year? Even if you don't have the need of it.

    Think about it.
