Shared or VPS?

I am leaning to basic shared so the host doesn't expect me to know how to do anything.
If I have VPS I'll have much better specs, but since I only know how to ftp files, if something goes wrong i am screwed.

There you have it. Go shared. BuyShared.

If you need simply hosting go with shared web hosting. Then you know all necessary info (using ftp) and have all you need.

Go with shared for now. Use the time to learn how to use a VPS in the future if you think your site will eventually need one.
