LowEndSpirit uses?
I have 2 Low End Spirit VPSes, and they're actually pretty cool for the price.
I only have 3 services worked out at the moment, but I'm interested in more:
ZNC
Monitoring
Web Server
VPN
SSH Tunnel
Is there any other uses of this server, and preferably uses for the IPv6 Addresses I'm allocated?
There was a previous thread, but nothing really came out of it.
Comments
sorry, but what is ZNC?
IRC bouncer software
http://znc.in
I'm running a closed reverse proxy on it. (Apache)
Oh thanks for the info.
My primary use of the vps is webserver for tests and private proxy
The only things you cant run on it are a mail server or SSL based sites, literally anything else (except tor/torrents/obvious illegal things) will run fine
ram allowing of course
Serverbear from new Itally location if anyone cares: http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/10/04/OC26B05MsBZwyCLw
VPN of course :P
That sounds pretty cool actually.
Maybe I could run a IPv6 Reverse Proxy with a IPv4 Cloudflare Reverse Proxy.
Possibly ThePirateBay?
Also, your Italy section on the Locations chart is flipped around for Bandwidth and Disk Space.
You could use it for DNS hosting.
@darknyan thanks that is fixed now.
You can either use cloudflairs 6 -> 4 as per this guide: http://forum.lowendspirit.com/viewtopic.php?id=441
Or simply request a reverse proxy entry via lowendspirit support as all nodes run haproxy for reverse proxy entries meaning you can run a webserver on your NAT ipv4 address on port 80 and haproxy will forward the traffic for you based on your domain.
TeamSpeak3 works too
some people use it for munin, openstatus, TS3, Shoutcast, pretty much anything really.
I think you need a specific port for that.
