Mi A1 not assigned a drive letter
So I wanted to sync my music folder on my pc to my music folder on my phone however my Mi A1 is for some reason not being assigned a drive letter thus all sync programs I tried dont seem to be able to sync to it It doesnt show up in drive management panel either, however I can acces it under "This PC\Mi A1\Internal Storage" . Any ideas? The device is in "data transfer mode".

Android devices cannot do Mass Storage, only MTP.
Ah fair enough. Ty^^ It seems to work syncing via Audials Anywhere Sync though (via Internet transfer). Windows Media Player may be working too as it recognizes the Mi A1 .
I'm not sure about assigning it drive letter or mounting as USB storage but you can try installing app like ES File Explorer which has FTP mode (last I checked). Then you can use an app to mount ftp.
ES File Explorer used to be good around 2 years ago, it has become an absolute piece of adware shit.
MiXplorer is a much better solution. No ads, totally free and has more features than ES. Exclusively available via XDA, not present in Google Play though.
