Looking for storage VPS
After a bad run with a certain company I'm looking for reliable providers only. Stable long-term trusted recommendations only as I've limited time and will certainly be doing more homework before I bite this time.
VZ Type:
Prefer KVM, if not then OpenVZ (not such a major for me really)
Number of Cores:
RAM:I dont need tons. It's storage
Disk Space: min 200GB
Disk Type: SSD is nice but not a major.
Bandwidth: not huge requirements
Port Speed: min 500gbps
DDoS Protection:
Yes
Number of IPs:
1
Location:
Prefer USA but open to options
Budget:
Make an offer.
Billing period:
Prefer Monthly but can do Quarterly or Yearly
Comments
Not usa but liteserver in NL
You might want to revise that requirement.
If it is just a storage dump and there's no public facing service to DDoS is this really a necessity?
@Virmach ?

Be aware that 1T with these plans is 1e12 bytes (930 GiB) if I'm not mistaken. Not sure about the 500GB plan.
The 200GB you mention is really pretty small, more of an ordinary VPS than a storage server.
Check out this website provided by an LET user which compares various storage VPS offers:

Nice resources. A lot of the offers have expired or are out of stock. Interestingly, the "company" I just had a bad run with are listed there.
PM the list creator/maintainer @MasonR if you have any specific corrections
It's definitely overdue for an update. I should get around to it today or tomorrow.
If you want, feel free to PM me what issues you had as I'd rather not have providers on there that neglect their clients.
I'd be pretty happy with a Black Friday deal if it weren't for that Black Friday is ages away. Perhaps a pre-black-friday thing?
PM me your intended use case, and I can post a recommendation in this thread.
usage of public vs private trackers for starters.
HostHatch? Just brought one the other day, it works great
For DDOS Protection, I prefer https://blazingfast.io/
any test IP maybe?
see the offers from t4v
1TB ~ 6€/month
Event offer will be much better than normal price.
What do you think of these guys?
https://my.pieserv.com
Do that have a good rep?
Or these guys?
http://www.abc-hosters.com
The reason I ask is because both of these people PMd me with offers.
I've never heard of them. That doesn't mean they are bad, but I'd tend to stay with providers that have LET provider tags unless they're fairly large.
Ignore PM offers, period. They are all scams.
Surely you don’t think that about all of them?
Yes, I do. I firmly believe that, if one has to conduct business in shadow, they are scams.
Meh, that's going a bit overboard, a good provider might have a one-off offer to make and not want to clutter up a thread with it. It sounds like abc-hosters is Rickey318's outfit and is in fact a tagged LET provider, so while that doesn't guarantee anything, it's a positive sign. I'd go with treating a PM offer as a presumptive scam if it came from someplace that had no LET presence. While I wasn't familiar with abc-hosters before (so I can't report on any good or bad experiences with them), they don't fall into the "no LET presence" category.
Use SSL cert for your website first.
I apologize but no billing information is hosted on the .com site. Example (no billing or ordering system). So don’t see a reason to ssl it. But, just a comment. Can’t say all private messages from providers are scams because some public posted providers can scam you too if that’s what they are out to do. And we send a PM to OP because I do not offer the service and specs for what was requested to public.
2018 standard practice is to SSL everything.
If that’s how you feel
I'm not accusing you of scamming. I simply pointing out what a common customer (like me) would consider using a service from some random provider.
No offense taken. With this being LET I can understand what you saying. But, not a new provider.
You should visit LET often, sometimes there are interesting offers posted here.
I'm going to go with @Ricky318 : http://www.abc-hosters.com
I'll let you know how it goes.
From the interactions that I've had with @rickey318, you should be in good hands
Hope all goes well.
