OVH major shortage of NAS servers

Hi

My order with OVH on a NAS drive has been pending for nearly 3 weeks. I've talked to OVH support several times be phone and email who have said that all data centres are suffering from a shortage of NAS disks. Does anyone know if OVH are phasing this product out?

I have never even seen them market the NAS products any. Heck it would almost be the same price to get the cheapest OVH server and utilize the included 500GB backup space (seems similar in regards to the hardware/config) and upgrade it.

No, I think it’s just luck of funding and management. Call them back and ask them to purchase HDDs, right now the special offers on WD NAS HDDs on Amazon.

  • I know the one time I ordered a NAS server from them. The hardware was Intel Atom on the order and I received a Xeon-D (not complaining, just some insight).

Their NAS product is actually rather decent performing, possible to max out the 10g link of a Host range server - can't say the same about their backup space ;)
