Yes I host furry porn off this

    Ayy lmao

  • On mobile, so a bit concise. If you plan on hosting cub yiff france is likely not for you. I'm fairly certain 8ch/4chan are in US hosted, west coast. u18 is/was EU. e621 is/was ioflood, but is owned by a large company (BD) so can probably handle takedowns easier.

I'm not gonna host cub. However, it might get crawled and shown for a little bit until i notice it and blacklist the image hash.

I'm looking at ONETSOLUTIONS right now and they seem okay for what i need but i can't find any stuff about how they handle DMCA or if they're trustworthy.

I'd go with BuyVM tbh but it is out of stock so i can't do much

  • I'm sure @Francisco will make some stock available for you if you promise to host some cartoon horse pornography.

    Please no.

Deal. I'll setup a filter and download all threads that mention /mlp/ overnight.

What about maple hosting? Contact them for a custom plan perhaps? I guess they handle dmca the way you like it.

A vps from them with 100GB of storage is 79$/month. Might as well just get a dedi from WorldStream for that price

Ah ok^^ Perhaps get the dedi then :)

  • Maybe in the future. Right now I'm not earning any money from it so I'd like to keep it as affordable as possible

Would be great if their price didn't double after the first month :(

You didn't exactly pick a cheap to afford hobby project there :P Anyway good luck finding a service^^ Contabo also has lots of storage (2 TB at 20€/mo).

What's the deal with them? Why are they so cheap? Considering the 6.99€/m one.
Also i'd need 200gb of storage at most, nothing more than that.

  • Do they allow adult? Was gonna pick up a VPS there for myself

Ask their support but I don't think adult content is a problem in NL.

They look okay, but the site looking like it was made in 2005 and the fact their specs look too good to be true are a bit offputting. What's their secret?

As I said in my review they are a solid german company and won't go away anytime soon. The website looks old-ish but you don't need it once you have your server. The support is great when contacted via phone. They were GIGA HOSTING before and had a sorta bad reputation for hosting all sorts of DDOS/HACK/NSWF stuff but they renamed to Contabo already for many years now. They won the hotline support award several times and while there are some hick ups (like contacting support to disable I/O limit which was set to 90 on ssd; after it was 200-300), some unanounced downtimes here and there (not too much anyway), I found it to be definitly good for personal use. You get all the specs you pay for (vps are KVM; I put 1TB storage full of junk and they tolerated it). Germany also has very strict laws on everything so don't let casual downtime or whatever scare you, I am sure they have to uphold & are upholding a certain standard as a german hosting provider.
Go try them out it's all yours.

Uptime Robot of a Contabo VPS IP:

No idea if the 2h downtime was announced or not. I haven't been a customer of them at that time anymore. Anyway could very well have been announced as they have this thing here:

The secret is that the end is nigh and profit matters a little in front of inevitable apocalypse.

Alright, i'll order from them. However, i'm reading their ToS and it looks like they ask a ridiculous fee in case of delayed payment and there's a 30-day cancellation term apparently. Have you ever had to deal with stuff like this?

Yes, 30 day cancellation term is normal in most german contracts (netcup also has it still). Being from Germany, yes I have dealt with these kind of contracts. And yes, I am still alive. It's not that bad really just remember to cancel in time (which you can do from their web interface with by clicking a button). I never paid late for anything so didn't bother me. I run it on PayPal Subscription or SEPA.

Just placed an order. Hope everything goes well and I really hope processing is automatic so i can transfer my data overnight.

Think it always was a couple hours for me the first time.

I had a word with @ympker before buying a VPS m contabo and surprised to see how well Plex transcode works. 2 CPU core + 500 GB + 6 GB RAM + unmetered bandwidth is a steal for 7 euros.

I have an online DCMA takedown form + control panel for automatic takedown of future images uploaded by an artist/publisher. However, this doesn't shield from people

So you’re saying that you steal content (against the TOS and illegal in most jurisdictions) but if someone complains to you directly or via your host then you’ll remove it ?

Well, good luck finding a permanent home, you’ll need it

Isn't that the same how file hosts work though? They can't possibly know and check every File that is being uploaded (on best effort at max.) and file removal is thus handled (mostly) by removal requests? Doesn't the same apply to imgur, mega and/or others?

Difference here is that the OP hosts and scraps the content he cannot reasonably believe is not protected by copyright, which makes the case very clear.

File host has a user that uploads it, so you could argue they are a victim here by being targeted to host a copyrighted material they never wanted to, against their TOS.

Ah my bad, gotcha. Thought OP also had user based upload + respective TOS.
