    Well, Bank of China and China Mobile are owned by the government.

    Having said that, they own a decent chunk of Alibaba too...

    No matter the big companies are owned by gov or not, they have no choice but to obey the CCP

    Yes, even if it's not directly owned - they'd still have an official agent involved.

  • So even without this update... we know that the China gov can look at any data anytime they want right? It is just more formal now.
