      Cpanel, 100%.

edit: I'm not saying Cpanel is the best, I prefer Plesk/no panel - though the majority of "customers" would know what Cpanel is.

    • cPanel is more common in USA while Plesk in Europe

I'm not very sure of this but have heard quite often.

cPanel as 90% of the users know how to use it!

Then it must have been just little more popular than USA in EU

Anyways, cPanel will be most suitable

I, too, have heard that Plesk is more common in Europe. But I don't know if that's

      1. Plesk sells more of their product in Europe than they do in the US

      2. Plesk sells more than cPanel in Europe

Probably #1 but Plesk would like to think #2 :-)

      70% what?

More licenses issued? More Amazon affiliate spam sites with 1 page?

70% less shit for the administrator to handhold.

DirectAdmin and Plesk are leaps and bounds better than CPanel from every aspect- but most folks who have done shared hosting know how to use CPanel, or can get it figured out easily.

Plesk and DirectAdmin are less sought after, because people are lazy and don't like to learn new things, even if it is a wholly-better product. This qualifies at least 99.9% of CPanel hosting in a nutshell.

If you're doing shared hosting, you may as well just use cPanel. Plesk is my choice, but that choice is pointless if people have always used cPanel and want the experience they have always known.

I've supported all three as both a client, and an administrator. People know what CPanel is; they know how to use it. DirectAdmin and Plesk are something new to learn, and although they're put together much more cohesively, and have a myriad of features that trump CPanel at every corner- they're still not CPanel.

cPanel, always. Plesk with, now increased, pricing is even less appealing.

I'm quoting this just because the placement of commas is, well, out of, place, yet- I can, hear Clouvider, saying it, in this, demeanor.

But sleep deprivation makes one sound more British!

    • I will prefer DirectAdmin but most of the Shared Hosting clients will want cPanel.

    • for hosting services Cpanel is best as well as price of Plesk for unlimited domain also higher then cpanel

    • so much intrest in this pool!

Back in the Rackshack days, I had more servers installed with Ensim than cPanel, really didn't like cPanel back then. Clients preferred Ensim also, how things have changed!

      That sums it up.
For me it's just the other way round: I am used to and love Plesk, and the few times clients forced me to maintain their CPanel hosted sites it felt like digging through the system settings of Windows 3.1.
But as I said, that's maybe just me, so you should try to find out where the majority of your prospective clients are.
If you aim at the European market chances are that most will prefer Plesk, otherwise take Cpanel.

Plesk licenses are sort of expensive now. cPanel is definitely worth the money IMHO. I manage cPanel servers daily and really, its an awesome service.

200% cPanel wins the race - especially for newcomers without a doubt. Plesk is more like for advanced users - if you know well how to do stuff with it.

    • pool not found again haha
