First business day after the New Year's Eve (12/31) and New Year's Day (1/1) holidays?
January 2nd. Ring any bells? People are having hangovers and are not really in mood for low-end barrel business.
$65 IS NOT LOW END. WE ALL KNOW $7 IS LOW END
If you're in a hurry, AYKsolutions and OneProvider could easily meet your needs.

Something to keep in mind is the RAM for E3 systems is getting really expensive. For instance: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0B1-00PA-00001
We were buying these at about $39.99 each; now they are up to $109.99 each (or more, I've seen these at other vendors for even higher prices). Anyone who is buying RAM is going to have a hard time with the hardware ROI at less than $65/month unless they have the gear in stock and already paid for.
Can you draw a direct correlation to shoeminers so we have yet another reason to detest them?
How about: shoeminers bought up all the current running servers that already had ram in them, and providers now have to aqcuire new stuff to run the normal clientbase on, enlarging ram demand worldwide?
No shoeminer would say no to a powerful cpu box, no matter if it came with 4gb ram or 128gb, so they pick it all up regardless.
FTFY
TBH, I don't think it is a demand-side issue. I think it is mostly the manufacturers are intentionally keeping supplies tight to keep prices inflated.
True, the RAM prices have increased a lot. They have doubled or even 2.5x their price, compared to what they used to sell for 2 years back.
