    No overselling, huh.
So, you're selling 16 VPSs on your node, that's $70/month, are you sure

EDIT: Apparently, you either don't know the difference between cores and threads, or you're just falsely advertising 8 cores, your node CPU has 4 cores, 8 threads: http://ark.intel.com/products/65727/

    Here is our benchmark.

yes we are selling only 16VPSs on our node.

That's not a benchmark (regarding CPU) that simply reads the CPU frequency from /proc/cpuinfo

    Completely agree with that =)

  • @MountVPS is the host node running CentOS 5 or 6?

20 aval, only selling 16.. So confused
32gb / 2gb is 16 containers @ 2gb. What about the host node, it needs ram as well?

    $5 x 16 humm, No oversell!

  • The node is the usual ColoCrossing deal:
    E3-1240v2
    32GB RAM
    4x 2TB in hard raid 10
    $150/mo

Everybody knows overselling HDD is risky and can be proven dead easily.
90GB HDD, 10GB less because the drives are more like 1.81TB rather than 2TB.
    4000 / 100 = 40 containers per node

    40 * $4.49 = $180/mo, $30/mo profit, not even counting Paypal fees etc.
Either unsustainable or even overselling more than a rate of 2.5x

  • Datacenter in NY

Buffalo, NY (the place that is 400 miles away from New York, NY)

    No Overselling

You're selling 20 x 2GB RAM/2GB Swap plans (40GB RAM/40 GB Swap total) on a node that has 32GB RAM/2GB Swap...so some overselling of RAM but no overloading, and very minor overselling compared to some other ColoCrossing based hosts who are selling 150GB RAM (or more) on a 32GB node. You're not overselling disk space (1.8 TB sold out of 2TB total if it's RAID 10) so that is a positive.

TIP: change "NY datacenter" to "Buffalo, NY datacenter" and change "no overselling" to "no overloading" and you'll be fine.

I disagree. In fact, I think it's safer than memory. However, the larger the allotments the higher the risk. Large allotments = potential customers in need of storage specifically.

Thank you for the tips. I have changed the datacenter information.

  • private seedbox ok?

You're right, I poorly phrased that. What I meant overloading disk can cause you a lot of trouble, look at some 123systems reviews lol
