Found it... they added in Debian 7 a file called pdns.simplebind

When this file exist it dosent load the configuration from other files so just delete it:

    rm /etc/powerdns/pdns.d/pdns.simplebind

    Thanked by 3DomainBop asf geekalot
  • Thanks man, +1 I have a deb 6 I've been holding back for a while.. Did you find any other issues when upgrading past the point of the pdns

no, working well now btw also disable dnssec if you dont have it activated on your domains otherwise it will also stop working answer.

  • Man, I wish I see this before I cost several hours try to put it work after upgrade to debian 7. Why they just simple write a notice at doc or homepage about this change. As which can save many users' lots of times. I think I am not the second one who cost hours to figure it out.

  • Thanks for this simple solution, dude!
I tried to get it working for hours and now I found your thread, tried it and it worked :D
