    http://tigervnc.org/

Support 3D acceleration, dynamic screen resolution, IPv6 and encryption.

As others have said, VNC Server + VPN.

This is great if the remote computer's owner has some tech competence though. Not too sure about any suggestions for the average user, but for ease of use I guess I would also recommend chrome remote access.

(Although if you can, VNC in my opinion would be better, no 3rd parties to worry about!)

i dont think that's the reason, you bump this because you want to advertise your software. :D

  • join.me is normally pretty good, Its a bit more lightweight then teamviewer not as many features but seems to be ok.

  • Tried join me today and not sure what is so great about it? Logme in is slow internationally too.

    Sbleck,

My name's Conrad, I'm from Remote Utilities. Just wanted to thank you for the kind words and also invite everyone to download and use Remote Utilities. The program is free for personal use, no traffic limitations, no nagging windows.

Also, if anyone has any questions about the program feel free to ask them here. It will be my pleasure to answer them.

    I have one doubt.
To use TeamViewer you can use it without install in a PC (assuming you do not have admin privilegies). I problem I could see these last months: a few networks have BLOCKED teamviewer.

How it the difference in this case (block) that Remote Utilities has in comparation with TeamViewer? Is there any way to by pass it in a port 80?

  • showmypc.com is good one.

  • We have so many necromancer now

  • join.me is a pretty good alternative. Works well and we've used it as our main remote access to client pc's for a while now. You should give it a shot

  • But the join me free version does it allow remote control for another person's PC?

  • Chrome Remote Desktop.
There is no "Thank you for using blabla" window left on the remote machine after you close the session.

Be aware, AnyDesk is nice and free to use for non-commercial things! Otherwise you need a license.

  • try alpemix.com

  • Why not VNC?

As an alternative to Teamviewer, you may try a R-HUB remote support server. It works well.

i am only using it for personal things like helping friends. Is there a way to fix this ? i tried reinstalling but it didnt fix it.

And Do you know any alternative for TV ? Which is free for personal use ?

is LogMeIn similar to TeamViewer ? if you know any other software thats easy to setup and use like TeamViewer. If yes , please tell me.

Dont suggest me Remote Desktop Connection and UltraVNC or other "VNC's"

and i use windows on PC

Unless they have changed it recently you should be able to go to your network config and change your mac address to get around that.
